The bike is all packed up with Oswald on the back ready to head out to the Star 21 Rally in Davis WV. It seems that packing for one person for 5 weeks is harder than packing for 2 people for multiple weeks. It becomes very easy to pack the bike and see an open space then you have to find something to fill it. I know I am carrying too much gear but in Montana I will be dealing with cold altitude as well as in WY. Then getting there and back from CO I will be in the cooker with Kansas temperatures. The nice thing is the bike carries the weight well. I am expecting to be at around 6,000 miles when I get back.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like maybe you have some camping gear on the pillion seat. What is your planned split between camping vs. hoteling?
BTW - Won't Oswald throw off your high-speed aerodynamics? :)
No camping, the yellow bag has my hot weather riding gear since it looks like I will be in cooler/wet weather going to WV. Need 2 seasons of clothing since I will be at altitude in WY & CO.
ReplyDeleteHave fun and good luck!
