Every good adventure needs a challenge!

I am kind of up against a wall here in Flagstaff, AZ!  A major heatwave has hit the Southwest and the highs will be 110 degrees for the next 10 days.  Meaning the only way for me to get to LA is in the middle of the night.  Most days mornings will be mid 80’s and 110 by 11:00 am.  I have decided to make an adult decision, which may catch people off guard.  Tomorrow I will put the Goldwing in storage at a U-Haul storage location and rent a car for my planned loop to LA to see my cousins, then San Diego, and lastly Joshua Tree National Park.  I will shorten my visits and be back in Flagstaff on June 17th.  I will still get in all I wanted to see and will be heading up Rt89 out of Flagstaff.  My friend Ray will be meeting me somewhere on Rt89 and we will head up towards his home near Salt Lake City.

This is totally the reverse of what I planned.  I was going to go to San Diego for R&R for 3 days then LA to see the family and off to Las Vegas before hitting Rt89.  With the heat wave, it makes no sense going to Las Vegas.  So it is time for some eye candy!  Arriving in AZ!
