June 11, 2018 - A day of rest!

You just know when you check-in, after 4 days of riding, and the desk attendant leans away from you that you must need to make a trip to the local laundromat!  So today is my rest day and I was off to the nearest laundry.  It was a combination coffee/ice cream/ laundromat and very nice.   I made short order of it and feel nice and fresh!

Then back to the rally to service the bike and join in with the 258 fellow riders.

The parking lot is full and three hotels are being used.  Lots of BMW's, Honda's, and Ducati's.  Really most motorcycle manufactures are represented and most of the people know each other.  It has been a very good experience, having been asked to join a number of people for the meals in town.

The weather has been good, in the high 70's and most important ... dry!

So it's a rest day because I find that for every 4 days of riding I need a day off the bike and I put in a few miles walking just to stretch a leg.  I got to see a bit
of the town also

I am not sure what is going on with the pelicans but they are all through the park.  It is a nice town and i guess because there is a university here there are lots of restaurants/bars within 3 blocks of the Radisson Hotel.

Tomorrow I am off to see S&S Motors and meet the group at a winery for lunch.  Back to riding.
