This is a well equipped State Park with primitive campsites, group sites and spans a large part of the Lumber River.  Known for the extensive lumber harvesting in the 1700's it has a beautiful setting.  I sat in the large swing on the riverbank and had a snack and water while I watched the river.  It was very restful with a nice breeze cooling me off.

I sat and talked with this lady who was fishing for her dinner.  I asked her if she was very successful and she said most days she is but it looked to her like tonight would be a light dinner.  She then smiled and told be about the huge bass she caught the other day.  Now that was a meal!  As I left she was still smiling and thinking about the big one she caught.
