Eleven days on the road and I am in need of time out of the car. I used Hotels.com to book this stay and it had the same price as Best Western Plus so I gave it a try.
Joy the manager and a member of the family showed me around. Beautiful grounds and bedrooms. I guess so since this is one of the more popular wedding venues in San Diego. The weddings are on weekends and during the week no one is here so they post those days on Hotels.com. The negative is there is no food or beverages except wine, that’s not so bad! So I strolled the gardens and it’s quite impressive.
I was stunned by how many hummingbirds were flying around. Joy said that you are supposed to clean and refill them every 5 days but her feeders are empty in three days. I sat and watched a line of hummingbirds drain the glass feeder. I tried to get a picture of the overflowing urn in the garden that had 10+ hummingbirds getting water off the side of the urn but it didn’t come out.
I also might add that the wine that came with check-in was excellent!
