We again had a mild day and good roads. This was the longer of the days on the road. About 190 miles but Pattie easily handled it with mild back pain. She discovered that an empty soda bottle behind her back relieved much of the pain she had experienced. The nice surprise was the 4th of July fireworks on the Columbia River. We had a second floor room with a clear view of the festivities on the river. The bad part was the lack of food for either of us. Seems everyone shut down on the 4th but we did find a good breakfast the next morning. We were packed and ready to go to Portland.
